Defending the Soo Locks.
In the sleepy wilderness and towns of the Eastern Upper Peninsula of Michigan lies the ruins of a retired war machine. . . that had enough destructive power to level 300 major cities.
We explore Raco Auxiliary Air Field, 753rd Radar Station and Kincheloe Air Force Base. We talk about their history and the amazing accomplishment of creating such power. And it all ended as abruptly as the cold war.
I used to live on Kincheloe AFB as a young blonde brat and my father served in the 753rd Radar Squadron.

Just found this while searching for Kincheloe stuff. We lived on Kincheloe AFB while my dad served at the 753rd Radar Station, 1960-71. Loved your video.
I am glad you enjoyed it. I had a great time making it!
I lived in the 753rd radar base housing in the early 2960s. and would love to contact other people eho lived there as kids in the early 2960s. and remember the hut where we use to wait for the school bus. it was a fun place to grow up.
