Great episode!
I went to the world’s fair in Knoxville Tennessee in 1982
Great Article I have read the Devil in the White a couple of times. I believe they used to have tours of where it all took place. Thank You Vikings for taking us with you through American History. 😊
Thanks Eric and Lee for the tasty breakfast treats! ... See MoreSee Less

Any of our lake effect snow belt adventurers feel this way yet?
Cue old man voice - "this ain't bad, back in my day, etc etc"
Da Viking and Poppins are without a furnace for a week. But thanks to their OVER preparation and a massive insulation upgrade (20 years ago) their house is comfy and cozy. (Now they are wondering if they really need a furnace).
Pic stolen from Great Lakes Weather and Climate.

People in Lexington KY are very much ready for temps above freezing.
For the millennium thingy… code 99 I installed the blue flame 🔥 wall hanger… then went skiing ⛷ on 12/31/99 Has come in pretty handy in the ensuing 25 years… I like the Viking have backup plans for my backup plans~~~🇳🇴 UffDa
Satirically speaking, "Da Viking" IS a furnace. His ideal temp range is between 25 and 50.....Kelvins. I've only seen him 'cold' once, as far as body temp, not demeanor. Once after kayaking and biking way beyond the fun zone, he shivered with enough force to warm himself and slightly alter the moon's orbit. With enough caffeine in the house, they'll probably have to cut the grass next week!
This video about a little sloop (single mast sailing ship) from the War of 1812 didn't do very well when we posted it over a year ago. That saddens Da Viking. Because this little ship did big things during the war of 1812 and was part of the Battle of Lake Erie where the US Navy's Oliver Hazard Perry (as 27 year old Commodore!!) handed the British Royale Navy their first unqualified defeat in history. This little ship even changed sides 3 times during the war.
In the video you take a sail with Da Viking, who served a few years as a lowly crew member. And get this! You can join the ship's company for an hour and a half sail during the summer (most days)!
I deserves some views! And a visit!

Great history!
I volunteered on FGW and with the MMM for many years. We had a lot of fun sailing FGW! I really enjoyed the video when it first came out. I'm glad you're sharing it again!
From the Youtube comment archive. Thanks Jeremy! You win the comment of the day (so far). 🤣🤣😱 ... See MoreSee Less
